Overview
Alpha builds two standard security door models, each specified for a different level of risk:
- Anti-Bandit Door (G1) — designed to protect personnel and assets against small arms attacks.
- POLAR® Security Door (G2) — a higher-security model for internal and external use, meeting a greater level of protection than the G1.
Both models share a reinforced bullet-resistant core, a stainless steel channel frame, and a lock protection stile that restricts access to the locking mechanism itself — a common point of failure in doors that otherwise resist forced entry.
Applications
Anti-Bandit Door (G1): offices, banking halls, internal residential doors, embassies.
POLAR® Security Door (G2): control buildings, power stations and substations, embassies and diplomatic residences, financial institutions.
Performance
Both models are specified against SABS 1658-1996, the South African test standard for security doors. The POLAR® (G2) model is also specified against BS 5051.
Available configurations
Both models are manufactured in single-leaf format only — neither is available as a double-leaf door. Surface finish is available in veneer or steel.

Certifications and compliance
Alpha's security doors are tested and certified to SABS 1658-1996 and BS 5051. Test reports are held on file and not published online, because they contain proprietary construction detail.
